Secluded, Solar-Powered, and Surrounded by 55,000 Acres of Prime Bass Water
Mexico’s Only Boat-in Bass Fishing Lodge
Settle in under the open-air Palapa, take in the views, and eat well. Some of the most productive largemouth bass water on earth is right outside the door — and every day you spend here puts something good into the Casa de Niños and the indigenous communities that call this lake home.

Built by hand from stone pulled off the property, the Fishin’ Mission lodge sits above Lake Aguamilpa at 2,400 feet in the Sierra Madre mountains. There’s no road in. It’s a 15-minute boat ride from the dam, and once you’re here, the outside world has a way of falling away.
Stunning lake and mountain views from the upstairs lodge rooms.
Though we are totally off-grid, solar and wind power with battery and generator back-up keep the lights on. Sun-powered water heaters on the roof mean hot showers after a long day on the water. Free wi-fi is available to stay connected with family and friends, and Netflix in the Palapa for evening entertainment if your group should choose.

Our meeting place for meals and fellowship is the open air Palapa. It has a full kitchen for meals and refreshments and ample seating for dining and fellowship. Also hammocks for those after-lunch siestas!
The lodge has four separate suites, each with a private bathroom. Some of the units can sleep up to 6 people comfortably, making it well suited for fishing groups. Additional tent sites with dedicated bathroom facilities are currently under development, which will expand capacity in future seasons.
